What are molex connectors? What are they used for?

My PCBA supplier use molex connectors on the samples order. What are they? What does they feature?

Molex is actually a brand name, it’s a company that makes inexpensive nylon plastic-bodied connectors.

They are generally used for internal connections in electronic equipment. It plays a role in connecting components. It can be mounted on the ends of multiple wire bundles or on PCBs by soldering.

Its Pins and sockets are made of inexpensive stamped steel and brass. It can be crimped rapidly by semi-automated machinery to wire ends so as to insert into the mating connectors, soldered and PCB.

What Others Are Asking

What is an average CPH speed for hand SMD assembly?

What would be the average speed of assembling surface mount components on to a PCB for an experienced person? Assuming they have desk that is correctly set up (pick and place station) and the PCB has solder paste already applied.

Do modern LED lights use thermal vias?

I have a technical question about thermal management with mid-power LED diodes.Do you use thermal vias on the PC board anymore? Either under the LED diode footprint or even around the footprint?
Depends on the application limits and cost targets.

Can I make a PCB without a ground plane?

Recently we are developing a portable device which should be very tiny and light. In terms of PCB design, I am thinking whether it is a good idea to exclude ground plane to minimize the product size.
