Why are there swirls or zig-zag lines on the PCB samples?

I send my PCB design to manufacturer for prototype, but they send back deviated PCB samples with additional zig-zag. Why are there zig-zag lines on it? Reducing interference?

“Zig zags” are used to ensure a group of traces are all the same length. It makes sure that signal from various paths arrives at roughly the same time, reducing latency and sync issues.

Why does my RF PCB have small holes in the ground polygon?
