What are the various components in the Internet of Things ecosystem?

We are a company selling eldercare products. Recently, we plan to develop a Bluetooth watch. Is there anyone to brief the components of IoT ecosystem.

Hardware

  1. Sensors – to sense some parameters like Temperature etc.
  2. Actuators/Relays – to control something like an aircon compressor/heater
  3. Micro-controller
  4. Internet connectivity using Wifi/ethernet/Lora
  5. PCB with above-mentioned components
  6. Additional parts like display, keyboards, etc.

Software and firmware

  1. backed and front-end server software for a better user interface
  2. mobile apps for user interface
