What are molex connectors? What are they used for?

My PCBA supplier use molex connectors on the samples order. What are they? What does they feature?

Molex is actually a brand name, it’s a company that makes inexpensive nylon plastic-bodied connectors.

They are generally used for internal connections in electronic equipment. It plays a role in connecting components. It can be mounted on the ends of multiple wire bundles or on PCBs by soldering.

Its Pins and sockets are made of inexpensive stamped steel and brass. It can be crimped rapidly by semi-automated machinery to wire ends so as to insert into the mating connectors, soldered and PCB.

What Others Are Asking

How do you usually organize SMT parts during PCB assembly?

Suppose one is hand-assembling a board with many SMT components. Unlike THT, SMT components are often not labeled. How might one keep small (<100) quantities of such parts properly organized during assembly? Are there particular tools? Storage devices? Methods?

Can we do wave solder the through hole parts without masking it?

We would like to do wave soldering for the through hole components. All through hole components are top side of PCB. Only test points, which require mask during process, are on the bottom side. So there is a extra labour cost at adding and removing the mask. Can we do wave solder the through hole parts without masking it?
