Why does the Bluetooth testing result of PCB show good in supplier lab, but fail in our side?

Receive Bluetooth PCB from supplier after they send a good testing video to me. However, when we test it by ourselves, it can not connect the phone. Why?
  • Different phones can have different speeds at receiving the scanning results. It seems that you are using a phone with a different scanning speed.
  • You are using different connecting cables to the input or output of the PCB.
  • There is something wrong with the input or output of the PCB.

A new project is always a long-run process, especially a Bluetooth device, since the connection not only involves in PCB party but also the phone user. Try to talk to your supplier based on the above points. There will be surprising progress in the project. Good luck to you.

What Others Are Asking

Which soldering iron tip should I use?

All of the soldering I’ve done to this point has been with through-hole components. I hope to move up to some smaller surface-mount parts at some point in the future. I’ve got a Weller WES51 soldering station. There is a large number of ET series tips available. How do I choose the right tip for the components I’ll be working with?

What type of PCB material should I use?

I’m making my first 4 layer PCB (1 signal, 2 GND plane, 3 PWR plane, 4 signal) with impedance control. How do you know what type of material to use? Is FR4 material ok for the 50 Ω and 90 Ω impedance?
